Deoné Newell is a Diné/Naahiłií (Navajo/Black) Sound Healer, Reiki Master, Grief Doula, Life Coach, and Yoga Teacher - trained in Rishikesh, India. She is currently an Artist in Residence at Kripalu, Center for Yoga and Health.
Based on the Navajo Nation, Deoné has led Sound Healing, Yoga, and Breathwork experiences for various organizations including Yahoo, DoorDash, the Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development, the Nez Perce Reservation in Idaho, and more recently, Breath of My Heart Birth Center in Esapañola, NM. She has been a consultant for SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) to help educate youth on how Native arts/culture serve as protective factors for mental illness. She has been trained in rituals of grief letting under her esteemed mentor/teacher, gina Breedlove - sound healer, grief doula, vocalist, composer, and oracle for Grace.
Deoné has dedicated herself to making ancestral healing, and its forgotten wisdom accessible to as many people as possible. Through her work, she encourages people to break generational patterns and step into true self-expression, collective healing, cultural change, and spiritual sovereignty; shaping collective liberation one practice of re-memberance at a time.
